    Iranian economy to increase 1.5 percent in 2021

    (MENAFN)On Tuesday, a report released declared that, the World Bank’s Global Economic Prospects (GEP) stated that Iranian economy is estimated to increase by 1.5 percent in the current year as the domestic markets are turning to stability and the negative impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic start to diminish.

    The report further stated that, “Growth in the Islamic Republic of Iran is expected to recover as domestic consumption and tourism begin to normalize, and disruptions related to COVID-19 taper.”

    Iran’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will keep increasing in 2022, growing by 1.7 percent, it also stated.

    The World Bank in January 2020 had estimated a 1.1 percent GDP increase for Iran in 2020 and 2021.
