Iran’s national budget bill predicts tax income of USD 46.42 B

(MENAFN)Iran’s national budget bill for the coming year in the Iranian calendar, whose draft was proposed to the parliament on December 2, 2020, has estimated a tax income of 2.47 quadrillion rials (about USD58.809 billion), increasing from 1.95 quadrillion rials (about USD46.42 billion) envisaged in the present year’s budget.

The bill is now under examination, as many experts think that it is unrealistic under the present condition of the country.

Rising tax income is one of the major issues that raise many protestations.

The parliament's insistence on rising tax revenues, and the government's efforts to avoid more pressure on low-income people and weak groups, however, have made rising tax revenues one of the major challenges of the budget bill.
