    Qatari Diar to work on CityGate project in New Cairo

    (MENAFN)The New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA) agreed work could continue on the CityGate project in New Cairo, a week after the Gulf settlement with Qatar, owned by the Qatari real estate company Qatari Diar, after a four-year pause.

    The company has taken conformation from the authority to work on the CityGate project, which has been hanging since 2016 due to an argument amid it and NUCA, reported Egyptian newspaper Al-Shorouk.

    East Gate, owner of the development and a Qatari Diar subsidiary, has had its request for a license to keep working on the project confirmed by the authority, following a court ruling that NUCA was not permitted to ask for fees of EGP 1.379 billion (USD88.11 million).
