    Turkey's benchmark stock index closes high on Tuesday

    (MENAFN)On Tuesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index increased 0.53 percent to close an all-time high of 1,565.01 points.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 8.24 points from Monday's close of 1,556.77 points, after starting the day at 1,569.56 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,561.02 and 1,575.90 points, in the day.

    In comparison to Monday's close, an amount of 68 stocks on the index increased, 26 dropped, and the remaining were flat.

    The total market rate of the BIST 100 was about 1.1 trillion Turkish liras (USD156 billion) by Tuesday's close, with a daily trading rate of 34.3 billion Turkish liras (USD4.60 billion).
