    Egypt welcomes 1.4 million tourists in last year

    (MENAFN)Egypt welcomed 1.4 million tourists since the recommencement of the tourism activities at the beginning of July, amounting to 3.7 million, the total number of tourists, in the previous year.

    Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled Al-Anani told in an assembly with the Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, to evaluate the ministry’s plans to fight the Coronavirus.

    Over 756 hotels and 1,039 tourist restaurants have applied health and safety measures since the start of the pandemic, he further said.

    He also evaluated the domestic tourism initiative Winter in Egypt and the discounted prices in this initiative.
