    Turkey's benchmark stock index falls 0.15 percent

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey's benchmark stock index fell 0.15 percent to close at 1,540.21 points.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 2.24 points from 1,542.45 points at the last close, after starting the week at 1,556.57 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,536.97 and 1,560.13 points – 52 stocks on the index increased, 46 dropped, and two were unchanged compared to Friday's close.

    The total market rate of the BIST 100 was around 1.16 trillion Turkish liras (USD156.4 billion) by market close, with a daily trading rate of 32.4 billion Turkish liras (nearly USD4.4 billion).
