    Iranian President launches 3,569 projects worth USD1.33B

    (MENAFN)Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, launched 3,569 projects valued at 56.1 trillion rials (USD1.33 billion) planned for natural resources and watershed management, as well as the growth of irrigation and drainage networks in the country’s western and northwestern regions and the northeastern Golestan province.

    The stated projects will offer job opportunities for over 105,771 people, launched in the 43rd series of inauguration ceremonies in the current Iranian year.

    By the construction of irrigation and drainage networks in Golestan province, the net income of farmers during both irrigated and rainfed cultivation will improve by 58 percent and 159 percent, respectively, and the irrigation water productivity index will also improve by 44 percent, reported IRNA.
