    Turkey's benchmark stock index increases 1.29 percent

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index increased 1.29 percent to close at 1,492.45 points.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 19 points from 1,473.45 points at the earlier close, after starting the week at 1,484.95 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,471.54 and 1,500.88 points – 73 stocks on the index increased, 26 dropped, and one was flat compared to Friday's close.

    The amount of market worth of the BIST 100 stood at 1.12 trillion Turkish liras (USD158.5 billion) by market close, with a daily trading rate of 25.9 billion Turkish liras (USD3.62 billion).
