    Arab airspace to Qatari flights decrease costs by USD1.2B

    (MENAFN)According to the executive chairman of Qatar Airways, the reviving of Arab airspace to Qatari flights will decline costs by USD1.2 billion.

    The state television quoted Akbar al-Baker as saying that “The reopening of airspace following the Gulf reconciliation will have a positive impact on the company’s financial performance.”

    Qatar inked a settlement deal with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt to heal their rift, which begun in 2017.

    The Saudi-led bloc indicted Qatar of "supporting terrorism" and severed diplomatic and trade relations with Doha, which slammed the blockade as an attempt to infringe on its dominion.
