Iran, Iraq agree on forming joint trade committee

(MENAFN)According to TCCIMA portal, Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (TCCIMA) and the Commercial Department of the Iraqi Embassy in Tehran confirmed on forming a joint trade committee soon.

The decision was taken in an assembly amid the TCCIMA Head Masoud Khansari and the Iraqi Ambassador to Tehran Nasir Abdul Mohsen Abdullah, the report added.

This joint committee will evaluate and determine the problems and demands of both countries’ businessmen and offer solutions accordingly to ease economic collaboration amid both sides, based on the suggestion taken by the TCCIMA head in the asssembly.

Regardless of the high level of Iran's economic ties with Iraq, there are still some matters and obstacles in the way of both countries' traders, and establishing a joint trade committee amid the TCCIMA and the Iraqi embassy will improve the level of trade by addressing such problems, Khansari further stated, stressing the establishment of joint trade committees amid the TCCIMA and some of the embassies of neighboring countries, including Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Armenia.
