    Turkey's benchmark stock index declines 2.30 percent

    (MENAFN)On Wednesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 1,483.02 points, decline 2.30 percent.

    At Tuesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 34.84 points from 1,517.86 points, after opening the day at 1,506.53 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,483.02 and 1,523.19 points, 11 stocks on the index increased, 89 dropped in comparison with the previous close.

    With market close, the amount of market rate of the BIST 100 stood at 1.1 trillion Turkish liras (USD160 billion), with a daily trading rate of 33.7 billion Turkish liras (USD4.7 billion).
