    Turkey witnesses USD1B foreign direct investment flowing from Italy

    (MENAFN)According to the head of the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Turkey witnessed about USD1 billion foreign direct investment (FDI) flowing into the country from Italy in last tear.

    Regardless of the pandemic, they did not witness a noticeable decline in mutual trade amid both countries; Anadolu Agency quoted Livio Manzini as saying, stating that Italy remained its status of being the second biggest trading partner of Turkey in Europe.

    He further declared "No doubt, we can expect a new momentum in Italian investments in Turkey in 2021," adding areas like energy, automotive and environment are emerging for cooperation.


    “Both countries aim to get the production back to normal and to reach the mutual trade of USD20 billion again, and then to achieve a new growth momentum towards the target of $30 billion," he also declared.
