    Turkey's economy improves 1.8 percent annual in 2020

    (MENAFN)The country's statistical authority stated that Members of Turkey’s business community welcomed the country’s economic performance based on its gross domestic product (GDP) increase volume in the previous year.

    According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), Turkey's economy developed 1.8 percent annual in 2020 regardless of the economic fallout from the Coronavirus pandemic.

    TurkStat further stated that the country's GDP at current prices reached 5.1 trillion Turkish liras (some USD717.1 billion) previous year.

    The economy recorded a yearly increase volume of 5.9 percent, in the last quarter of the previous year.
