    Turkey's benchmark stock index closes at 1,564.94 points on Wednesday.

    (MENAFN)On Wednesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 1,564.94 points, increased 1.02 percent.

    At Tuesday's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 15.78 points from 1,549.15 point, openinig the day at 1,551.30 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,551.30 and 1,564.25 points – 71 stocks on the index increased, 23 dropped, and the remaining were flat compared to the preceding close.

    The total amount at market worth of the BIST 100 stood at 1.1 trillion Turkish liras (USD155 billion) by market close, with a daily trading rate of 26.4 billion Turkish liras (USD3.5 billion).
