    Turkey’s industrial sector offers additional 337,000 jobs

    (MENAFN)According to the country's industry and technology minister, Turkey’s industrial sector offered 337,000 additional jobs in 2020.

    During to virtual Chemistry Sector Council Meeting, Mustafa Varank stated that Turkey had started 2021 with good indicated, by the momentum seen in investment numbers and electricity consumption in industrial zones.

    "With an 11.4 percent jump in January, Turkey became one of the G20 countries with the largest rise in year-on-year industrial production," he further declared, referring to Turkey's strong economic performance.

    He also said that amid the G20 Turkey’s increase volume was second only to China, after finishing off last year with increase of 1.8 percent.
