    Recommencement of international flights to Saudi to boost demand

    (MENAFN)Asharq Business quoted Budget CEO Fawaz Danish as saying that the Saudi car hire market is going to get better in the second half of the year managed by short term rentals from Umrah and Hajj pilgrims.

    He further stated that the recommencement of international flights to the Kingdom is estimated to increase demand.

    Car hire companies were the most effected sector by the pandemic with global travel coming to near rust. US-based Hertz is considered one of the first affected in the sector following bankruptcy protection in the early days of the pandemic.

    The United International Transportation Company recorded incomes of SR187 million (USD49.8 million) in 2020, Danish said that it was a good performance in light of current market conditions.
