    Saudi Green Initiative to reduce emissions, rely on renewable energy projects

    (MENAFN)Saudi Arabia revealed two ambitious initiatives to fight climate change, and keep the environment safe, which include declining carbon emissions and aims to plant billions of trees within the Kingdom and in the Middle East over the coming decades.

    Saudi Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman stated that the "Saudi Green Initiative" plans to decline emissions and depend on renewable energy projects to produce half of the country's need by 2030.

    Riyadh plans to work with other Arab countries on the "Green Middle East Initiative" to plant extra 40 billion trees in the Middle East that is the main reforestation program in the world.
