    Saudi Aramco, American Concrete Institute inaugurate Center for Nonmetallic Building Materials

    (MENAFN)According to the companies, Saudi Aramco and the American Concrete Institute (ACI) are going to inaugurate the Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials (NEx), to improve and support the utilize of nonmetallic materials in the construction sector.

    The center is going to be situated at the ACI world headquarters in the US.

    The center is going to influence ACI’s role as an authority and resource for the development, distribution, and adoption of consensus-based standards for concrete design, construction, and materials.

    According to Ahmad Al-Sa’adi, Aramco SVP of technical services, Aramco was developing and deploying nonmetallic solutions in its operations for over 20 years, as they can create superior lifecycle cost, efficiency and environmental advantages over their metal alternatives,
