    Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index increases 52 percent

    (MENAFN)Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul All Share Index increased by over 52 percent at the end of the first three months from a year earlier as it edged closer to the 10,000 points barrier.

    The bourse said in a filing that the market ended at 9,907.82 points at the end of the three months with the total market capitalization increased by over 27 percent at SR9.63 trillion (USD2.57 trillion) in comparison to a year earlier.

    In the mentioned period, the total worth of shares traded stood at SR697.5 billion, increased by over 155.5 percent over the year-earlier period. For now the total number of transactions carried out in the first quarter came on at 27.59 million in comparison to 12.19 million trades a year earlier.

    A stronger oil price and the return of investment to rising markets supported drive regional stock indexes such as Saudi Arabia’s Tadawul the current year.
