    Turkey's benchmark stock index stands at 1,428.99 points on Monday

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey's benchmark stock index started the week at 1,428.99 points, dropping by 0.08 percent or 1.2 points from the last close.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 0.25 percent at 1,430.19 points, At Friday's close, with a daily trading rate of 17.3 billion liras (USD2.12 billion).

    On Monday, the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange volume increased to 8.1900 as of 9.30 AM local time (0630GMT), from 8.1460 at the last close.

    The euro/Turkish lira exchange volume increased to 9.6200, versus 9.5720, as one British pound traded for 11.3600 Turkish liras, increased from 11.2870 at the previous week's close.
