    Turkey's benchmark stock index increases on Wednesday

    (MENAFN)On Wednesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index ended the day at 1,417.89 points, dropped 0.19 percent.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index decreased 2.71 points from Tuesday's close at 1,420.59 points, after opening the day at 1,420.94 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,403.61 and 1,422.48 points. 12 stocks on the index increased, as 85 dropped in comparison to the last close.

    The total amount of market worth of the BIST 100 stood at 1.08 trillion Turkish liras (USD139 billion) by market close, with a daily rate of 17.5 billion Turkish liras (USD2.5 billion).
