    Turkey's benchmark stock index drops 1.24 percent on Monday

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey's benchmark stock index dropped 1.24 percent to end the day at 1,375.91 points.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index dropped 17.33 points from previous week's close of 1,393.24 points, opening the week at 1,392.25 points.

    The index averaged amid 1,374.67 and 1,398.12 points – 20 stocks on the index increased, 77 dropped, and three were flat compared to Friday's close.

    The total amount of market rate of the BIST 100 stood at 983 billion Turkish liras (USD120.6 billion) by market close, with a daily trading rate of 16 billion Turkish liras (USD2 billion).
