    Turkey's benchmark stock index closes Wednesday high

    (MENAFN)On Wednesday, Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,409.19 points, increased 2.24 percent from the previous day.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 30.82 points from Tuesday's close of 1,378.37 points, opening the day at 1,384.90 points.

    During the day, the index's lowest rate stood at 1,380.71 points, as its daily high reached 1,409.19 points.

    The total amount of market rate of the BIST 100 stood at 1 trillion Turkish liras (USD123.69 billion) by market close, with a daily trading rate of 16.64 billion Turkish liras (USD2.06 billion).
