    Turkey plans to vaccinate tourism professionals before start of summer season

    (MENAFN)The country's deputy minister of culture and tourism stated that Turkey plans to vaccinate all tourism professionals before the end of May.

    Turkey scheduled to finish vaccination of COVID-19 for tourism professionals before the start of the summer season, Nadir Alparslan declared during the International Tourism Forum managed online by the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB).

    At the beginning of the current month, the country started a vaccination campaign for professionals helping in the tourism sector, like hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, airlines, and buses.

    Alparslan further stated that "In order to minimize the negative impact of the virus on tourism, the government carries out a number of works with sector shareholders such as [the launch of the] Safe Tourism Certification program."
