    PGSR in Iran produces 7M L of gasoline with quality higher than Euro-5 standards

    (MENAFN)According to the refinery’s Managing Director Mohammad-Ali Dadvar, Persian Gulf Star Refinery in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan is manufacturing 47 million liters of gasoline with a quality higher than Euro-5 standards.

    Dadvar highlighted the refinery’s determination for producing high-quality fuels to support protecting the environment, stating that” Our main mission is to produce fuel in order to ensure the security of the country's energy basket, however, we always pay attention to environmental requirements because sustainable development depends on paying attention to environmental issues,” according to IRNA.

    "By consuming clean fuels, reducing gas flaring, using high-efficiency equipment and recycling gases from the production process as fuel, we have tried to show our determination for environmental protection in practice,” he referred to appropriate measures to optimize and manage energy consumption as one of the most important ways to protect the environment.

    PGSR is the first of its kind formed according to gas condensate feedstock received from the South Pars gas field that Iran shares with Qatar in the Persian Gulf.
