Iran to increase its oil exports bpd once US sanctions removed

(MENAFN)The country is capable to improve its oil exports to 2.5 million barrels per day (bpd) once the US sanctions are removed, stated Iran’s First Vice-President Eshaq Jahangiri.

He further declared that "Oil sales have dropped a lot, but now the situation is better, and we are in control. We will be able to increase oil exports to 2.5 million barrels per day after the removal of the sanctions."

Iran was increasing its oil production in the last few months as talks for revitalizing the 2015 nuclear deal progress. Tehran started negotiating its conditions for revitalizing the nuclear deal (JCPOA) with the world powers since early April.

Oil exports were improving since late last year regardless of the US sanctions and the Iranian Oil Ministry proclaimed its willingness for increasing the country’s crude oil output to the pre-sanction levels in case of the US returning the nuclear deal.
