    Turkey’s retail sales rate increases 19.2 percent annual in March

    (MENAFN)Official figures stated that Turkey’s retail sales rate with constant prices increased 19.2 percent annual in March.

    Non-food sales (except automotive fuel) increased by 36.9 percent in March, as automotive fuel and food-drinks-tobacco sales marked an improvement by 12.1 percent and 0.8 percent.

    All non-food indices, fabric, clothing, and footwear increased by 63.3 percent in March, computers, books, and telecommunications equipment by 37.6 percent, electronic goods and furniture by 25.4 percent and medical goods and cosmetics by 3.5 percent.

    Sales by mail orders and internet increased 76.8 percent annual in March.

    TurkStat further reported that the retail sales rate increased 5.1 percent on a monthly basis in March.
