    Saudi Arabia brings 18 percent of foreign investment into ME

    (MENAFN)In 2020, Saudi Arabia brought 18 percent of all foreign investment into the Middle East and North Africa, the most of any country in the region.

    Al Arabiya quoted data from Financial Times’ FDI Intelligence as saying that the figure of projects dropped by 49 percent in last year to 73 for a value of USD10.4 billion.

    New foreign projects founded in the MENA region decreased to 1,031 in last year, in comparison with 1,795 in 2019 as the Coronavirus outbreak imposed the shutting of much of the global economy.

    The UAE ranked one in regional countries in the number of new foreign projects with 327 projects and ranked second in terms of the rate of investments, bringing USD9 billion.
