    Turkey’s benchmark stock index closes Monday at 1,420.49 points

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index ended the day at 1,420.49 points, dropped 0.11 percent from the last close.

    Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index decreased 1.57 points from the previous week's close of 1,422.06 points, after opening the week at 1,423.09 points.

    The amount of market rate of the BIST 100 stood at 999.84 billion Turkish liras (USD116.94 billion) at the market close, with a daily trading rate of 12.95 billion Turkish liras (USD1.5 billion).

    On the first transaction day of the week, 43 stocks on the index increased, 49 dropped, and eight were same compared to Friday.
