    Iran to reduce restrictions on electricity supply

    (MENAFN)To decrease restrictions on electricity supply, electricity imports from Azerbaijan started on Thursday, according to Iranian Energy Ministry's Spokesman for Electricity Industry Mostafa Rajabi Mashhadi.

    "Currently, 73 megawatts (MW) of electricity is injected from this transmission line to the internal network of Iran," he further declared, adding that with the synchronization of Moghan power transmission lines to the electricity network of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the import of electricity from this country launched.

    The total of electricity imported from this transmission line can be improved to 130 MW in the peak consumption hours, headed.

    “In addition to using all capacities to import and increase electricity generation, household subscribers with a fifty percent share at the peak consumption time have a very effective role in this regard, “added Rajabi Mashhadi, saying that the electricity industry has used all its power and capacities to give the electricity required domestically.
