    Iran export over USD896M worth of agricultural, foodstuff products

    (MENAFN)The Deputy Agriculture Minister Ahmad-Ali Keykha stated that more than USD896 million worth of agricultural and foodstuff products were exported from Iran in the first two months of the current Iranian year.

    About 1.974 billion tons of such products were exported to foreign destinations in the stated two months to mark 20 percent and two percent increase in terms of weight and value, respectively, the official added.

    Keykha also declared that in the stated period, more than 4.033 million tons of agricultural and foodstuff products valued at USD2.202 billion were also imported into the country.

    Watermelons, apples, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, and melon were the top five exported products in the stated period in terms of weight, as in terms of value, watermelon, pistachios, tomatoes, apples, and dates were the five major exported products.
