    Iran produces 12.5M tons of crude steel in January-May 2021

    (MENAFN)Citing the recent data released by the World Steel Association (WSA), Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO) declared that Iran was ranked the world’s tenth-largest steel producer in the January-May period of 2021.

    Iran manufactured 12.5 million tons of crude steel in the first five months of 2021, marking a 9.2 percent growth in comparison to the last year same time span.

    The Islamic Republic’s steel output amounted at 2.6 million tons in last month, marking a 7.7 percent rise annual.

    The world’s top 64 steel makers managed to manufacture 837.5 million tons of steel in the stated period to register a 14.5-percent increase from the figure for the previous year same time.
