    Turkey’s benchmark stock index starts Monday at 1,395.16 points

    (MENAFN)On Monday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index opened at 1,395.16 points, increased 0.24 percent or 3.30 points from the last close.

    Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index dropped 1.34 percent at 1,391.86 points, with a daily trading rate of 10.49 billion Turkish liras (USD1.2 billion), during last week’s close.

    On Monday, the US dollar/Turkish lira exchange volume amounted at 8.7300 as of 9:30 AM local time (0630GMT), versus 8.7310 at previous week’s close.

    The euro/Turkish lira exchange volume dropped to 10.4100 from 10.4400, as one British pound traded for 12.1400 Turkish liras, decreased from 12.2400.
