    Total foreign assets of Central Bank of Oman increase 8.1 percent in April 2021

    (MENAFN)The total foreign assets of the Central Bank of Oman rose by 8.1 percent to 7 billion Omani rials (USD18.2 billion) in April of the current year.

    The amount private sector deposits with commercial banks and Islamic financial products in Oman improved by 6.8 percent to 17.2 billion rials, in comparison to 16.17 billion rials 2020.

    The amount of loans and financing of commercial banks imporved by 3 percent to 27.18 billion Omani rials, in comparison to 26.39 billion rials in last year. However, the average interest volume on total loans did not indicate any increase.

    According to Asharq, Oman’s non-oil economy rose by 5.7 percent in the first three months of 2021, standing at 5.7 billion Omani rials.
