    Saudi Arabia: Number of parcels delivered increases 160 percent to exceed 20.3M parcels

    (MENAFN)A report by the Saudi Press Agency showed that Saudi Arabia is in the final stages to award three licenses to international companies for parcel transport services in the Kingdom.

    The licenses is going to lead to a total investment of SR6 billion (USD1.6 billion), according to the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC).

    The number of parcels delivered improved by 160 percent to surpass 20.3 million parcels in the January-March period of 2021, as the commission took over regulation of the postal sector in the second six months of 2019. It further declared that there are currently 42 licensed companies in the Kingdom.
