    Saudi Electricity firm to boost efficiency of electricity network with USD127.9M

    (MENAFN)The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) is giving at least SR480 million (USD127.9 million) on new projects around Makkah and the holy sites in the pipeline for the upcoming Hajj season.

    CEO, Khaled Bin Hamad Al-Gnoon further declared that the new spending plans to increase the capability of the electricity network and will include the substitute of 7,785 old mechanical meters with smart ones.

    The plan also includes increasing network capacity in Arafat and provision with the requirement to rely on rental generators.

    The company added that at least 700 engineers, technicians and specialists are working around the clock to implement the operational plan for this year’s Hajj season.
