    Iran says permits for construction of power plants issued for big industries

    (MENAFN)The needed licenses for the construction of the power plants were marked for the big industries, according to the managing director of Iran’s Thermal Power Plants Holding Company (TPPH).

    The big and high-consuming industries of steel, metals, and mining were previously providing for the licenses to build the electricity self-supply and self-consumption units, and their requests were evaluated, the official further added.

    Mohsen Tarztalab also declared that the minister of industry, mining, and trade evaluated 13 applications in this regard during an assembly with the stated industries, and finally a list was set and sent to the Energy Ministry.

    He said that the deputy industry, mining, and trade minister applied for the licenses to build power plants on July 7, with the total capacity of 10,536 megawatts (MW), and related deal in principle was marked yesterday.
