    Saudi Aramco continues to maintain robust cybersecurity posture

    (MENAFN)Saudi Aramco stated that its operations were not affected after a data break from one of its contractors.

    The Dhahran-based company approved a restricted amount of data was released from the company after reports that a cyber extortionist asked a USD50 million payment.

    Arab News quoted the Dhahran-based company as saying that “Aramco recently became aware of the indirect release of a limited amount of company data which was held by third party contractors," adding, “We confirm that the release of data was not due to a breach of our systems, has no impact on our operations, and the company continues to maintain a robust cybersecurity posture.”
