    Turkey marks annual hike of 18.95 percent in consumer prices in July

    (MENAFN)According to Turkish authority, the country marked a yearly hike of 18.95 percent in consumer prices in the previous month.

    The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) further declared that the yearly inflation increased 1.42 percentage points from 17.53 percent a month ago. The number stood at 11.76 percent in last month 2020.

    The highest yearly improvement was witnessed in food and non-alcoholic beverages with 24.92 percent, transportation with 24.62 percent, and furnishings and household equipment with 22.70 percent in July.

    A group of 17 economists estimated an average yearly increase of 18.74 percent in consumer prices in the month, Anadolu Agency survey stated.
