    Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Production Index increases 11.9 percent in June 2021

    (MENAFN)According to official data, Saudi Arabia’s Industrial Production Index (IPI) increased by 11.9 percent in June 2021 from a year ago and by 3.6 percent from May.

    The General Authority for Statistics (GSTAT) stated that the improvement came out from higher production in mining and quarrying that obtained 19.3 percent on a yearly basis and 4.5 percent from the last month with Saudi oil production operating at high volumes.

    The Kingdom raised its oil production from 7.4 million bpd in June 2020 to 8.9 million bpd in June 2021.

    Non-oil manufacturing activity dropped by 4.2 percent in June 2021 in comparison to the previous year same time span, and by 0.4 percent from May 2021.
