    Grants for Saudi families who want to own their own home increase

    (MENAFN)Subsidies for Saudi families who want to own their own home were raised as the Kingdom plans to increase the rate of home ownership to 70 percent by 2030.

    According to the fund’s CEO Mansour bin Madi, in the four years ending in June 2021, the Real Estate Development Fund (REDF) supplied subsidies of SR29.6 billion to over 520,000 families. The REDF administers funds for the Ministry of Housing’s Sakani program.

    SPA further declared that Sakani aided 124,208 families with housing solutions and options amid January and July 2021, including 97,822 families who were able to move into new homes. The achievements were during the Sakani Forum for the April-July period of 2021, held in Riyadh.
