    Turkey’s benchmark stock index starts Tuesday at 1,454.14 points

    (MENAFN)On Tuesday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index started the day at 1,454.14 points, decreased by 0.08 percent or 1.11 points from the last close.

    Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 0.53 percent at 1,455.25 points at Monday’s close, with a daily trading rate of 13.9 billion Turkish liras (USD1.64 billion).

    The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange volume increased to 8.4830 as of 0630GMT on Tuesday, from 8.4750 at the last close.

    The euro/Turkish lira exchange volume reached 9.9820 versus 9.9800, as one British pound traded for 11.7460 Turkish liras, dropped from 11.7580.
