    Saudis trading in US stocks records fall of 25.4 percent

    (MENAFN)According to official data, Saudis trading in US stocks, through market institutions approved by the Capital Market Authority (CMA), marked a drop of 25.4 percent, in the second three months from a year ago, marking a fall in trading for the July-September period in a row.

    CMA data showed that in the second three months of 2021, Saudis’ transactions in the US stocks stood at SR60.65 billion ($16.17 billion) including buying and selling, in comparison to about SR81.34 billion in the second three months 2020. Trading fell by 21.7 percent compared to the January-March of 2021, after it was SR77.4 billion during.

    It added that regardless of the decline in the second three months, trading in US equity saw a huge jump since the start of 2020. The trading of the third three months of 2020 is the highest recorded so far, as it surpassed SR100 billion.
