    Turkey's annual inflation rate to drop to 18.78 percent in August

    (MENAFN)According to Anadolu Agency survey, Turkey's annual inflation rate is estimated to drop to 18.78 percent in the current month.

    The annual inflation value in the previous month stood at 18.95 percent increased 1.42 percentage points from the previous month.

    On Sept. 3, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) is going to proclaim the consumer prices index for August.

    Monthly inflation hovered at 0.72 percent, varying amid 0.30 percent and 1.83 percent, in August, according to estimations of a group of 16 economists polled by Anadolu Agency.

    Turkey's Central Bank increased its year-end inflation estimation to 14.1 percent for the current year, rose from 12.2 percent in its last report.
