    Turkish-German joint venture serves over 3M passengers so far in 2021

    (MENAFN) According to Turkish-German joint venture SunExpress, the airline transported over 3 million passengers so far in the current year.

    It further declared that after passing through difficult time on aviation sector in 2020 as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, "the total number of passengers carried by SunExpress jumped 43 percent year-on-year."

    The company's seat occupancy rate amounted at 85 percent by increasing flight frequency to Turkey's holiday destinations, in addition to including new destinations to its network after travel restrictions were facilitated.

    SunExpress was founded in 1989 as a joint venture of Turkish Airlines and Germany's Lufthansa, located in Turkey's sunny Antalya on the Mediterranean coast.
