    Value of Iran’s non-oil trade increases 38 percent in 5 months

    (MENAFN)According to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the worth of Iran’s non-oil trade increased 38 percent in the first five months of this Iranian year in comparison to the previous year same time span.

    Iran traded 59.3 million tons of non-oil products valued at USD34 billion with other countries in the stated time that shows also 14 percent expansion in terms of weight on an annual basis, Mehdi Mir-Ashrafi further declared to the press on the sidelines of the Industry, Mining, and Trade Minister Ehsan Khandouzi’s visit to the Imam Khomeini Airport City’s customs.

    He also stated that the five-month non-oil exports stood at 45.5 million tons worth USD17.661 billion, with a 63 percent improvement in worth and 20 percent enlargement in weight.

    The main exported products in the stated period were methanol, natural gas, polyethylene, semi-finished iron products, iron ingots, gasoline, liquefied propane, iron rods, urea, and bitumen, stated IRICA head.
