    UAE government allocates USD6.5B to offer 75,000 jobs

    (MENAFN)According to the UAE government, employees of private companies in the UAE should be made up of 10 percent Emiratis.

    Emirati Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammad Abdullah Al-Gergawi stated that the rule is going to be compulsory over the coming five years, starting with an initial 2 percent requirement for the first year .

    The government is going to work closely with private sector companies to accomplish the target by 2026, also will only apply to “skilled labor” positions.

    Alain Bejjani, chief executive officer of Majid Al Futtaim, one of the UAE's biggest employers was quoted as saying that "We do not look at localization as a compliance issue, but as a competitive advantage."
