    Turkish glassmaker Sisecam to invest over USD474M in float glass lines

    (MENAFN)Turkish glassmaker Sisecam declared that it is going to invest over 4 billion Turkish liras (USD474 million) in float glass lines.

    During an inauguration ceremony for the factory's new production line in Polatli, Ankara, the country’s capital, Sisecam Chairman Ahmet Kirman stated that the two float lines are going to make glass for the architecture and automotive sectors.

    Sisecam's factory in Polatli now employs at least 300 workers, and the new float line that will have a production capacity of 1,200 tons, is going to be one of the top five of its kind in the world, Kirman further stated.

    In addition, the official declared that the company has an investment plan of 6 billion Turkish liras (USD711.3 million) through 2023, saying that the firm's total investment in the last five years was around 10 billion Turkish liras (USD1.185 billion).
