    Iran's imports of mobile phones increase by 85 percent in 5 months

    (MENAFN)According to ISNA, Iran's imports of mobile phones in the first five months of the current Iranian year rose by 85 percent in comparison to the previous year same time span.

    Cellphones that valued at USD1.395 billion were imported into the country in the stated period, as in the last year’s same period the mobile phone imports reached USD756 million.

    More than 2,560 tons of cellphones were imported into the country in the said five months, to mark a 36-percent improvement in terms of weight.

    The total amount of Iran’s non-oil trade stood at USD34 billion in the stated period that shows that cellphones allocated about five percent of the total value of the trade in the mentioned period.
