    Turkey’s benchmark stock index starts Wednesday high

    (MENAFN)On Wednesday, Turkey’s benchmark stock index started the day at 1,393.25 points, increasing 7.64 points or 0.55 percent from the last close.

    Borsa Istanbul’s BIST 100 index dropped 0.45 percent to close at 1,385.61 o Tuesday, with a daily trading rate of around 12.4 billion Turkish liras (USD1.4 billion).

    The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange volume dropped to 8.6250 as of (0630GMT), versus 8.6570 at the last close.

    The euro/Turkish lira exchange volume amounted at 10.1090 in comparison to 10.1530, as one British pound traded for 11.7960 Turkish liras, versus 11.8460 at the preceding close.
